Ana Kasparian is a university lecturer, political pundit, writer and public speaker. She is also a producer and currently hosting “The Young Turks” which is an online news show. However, she originally belongs to Armenian descent as her parents moved from Armenia and belong to Armenian nationality. While Ana grew up in Los Angeles she spoke Armenian as her first language. She also pursued ballet professionally at the age of 3 till 19. Kasparian later graduated in Bachelor of Arts from California State University majoring in Journalism. Later, she also completed her Master’s degree in political science.
Kasparian first entered into media after graduating when she began working as an assistant producer for CBS radio. She quitted her work soon after finding mainstream media not appropriate for her. When she got a chance to work for the show, “The Young Turks”, she was satisfied professionally and continued pursuing it for a long time. As she found a platform which was unscripted and less robotic Ana began enjoying the work she was into.
She is also an academician, currently, she teaches at the University of California at Northridge teaching Journalism. Ana has a different way of teaching her students as she says she chooses to speak with the students rather than speaking at them. Kasparian is also an atheist and pushes progressive values.

Talking about her personal life, Ana married her basketball player, model and actor husband Christian Lopez. They got engaged in October 2015 and were due to marry in September. However, they could not wait for that long and eloped to finally get married a few days after their engagement from a secret marriage ceremony on a business trip.
After which they finally had an official wedding at the originally planned date on September. Ana’s co-host of the show, “The Young Turks” officiated their wedding. They do not have any children yet.
