George Stephanopoulos is a well known American journalist. Besides a journalist, he is also known as a political commentator, former Democratic political advisor, and operative. Currently, he is a chief correspondent and anchor for ABC News. He also works as a Co-anchor for Good Morning America. George Stephanopoulos was born on February 10, 1961, in Massachusetts which makes his nationality an American. He was born to parents Nickolitsa “Nikki” Gloria and Robert George Stephanopoulos who are of Greek descent. George’s father was a Greek priest while his mother worked in e Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America National News Service as a director for many years. He went to Orange High School in Pepper Pike and graduated from Columbia University in New York majoring in political science. As per his father’s wish, George went on to take the job of an aide Democratic Congressman Ed Feighan of Ohio. Later he graduated from Oxford with a master’s degree in Theology.
Stephanopoulos became one of the leading members of the presidential campaign for Clinton’s in the year 1992. However, after Clinton being re-elected as the president, George resigned in 1996. He also published a memoir about his time in the Whitehouse, which became a New York Times Bestseller. Finally taking a break from his political career, he started working as a political analyst for ABC news during the year 2002.
