Lena Gieseke is a German special effects technician and an artist who is famous as the ex-wife of the American Film Director, Tim Burton. Throughout the years, Gieseke has gone on to earn over 10 credits for visual effects in movies and television shows. Lena Gieseke was born on the 12th of September, 1965, in Bremen, Germany. There is a very little known about Lena and her early years. Lena later moved to America to find a better life for herself and her family. Now looking at her academics, Lena joined California Institute of Arts. At the institution, she studied Fine Arts and Photography and excelled at education. Gieseke then got herself enrolled at Wimbledon College and also Goldsmith College in London.
Upon graduating Lena began working in various movies and television shows as a visual effects artist. She made her debut as a 3D artist in the German movie, “1 1/2 Knights: In Search of the Ravishing Princess Herzelinde”. Next, in 2008, she was able to land herself a role in the visual effects department for the movie, “Die Jahrhundertlawine”. Moreover, Gieseke was also the animation artist for “Berlin” and “Vicky the Viking”.
Just a year later in 2009, Lena was the modeler for the movie, “2012”. Throughout the years, Gieseke has earned name and fame for her professionalism, work ethics and amazing work in the industry. Lena first met Tim Burton after graduating from her short course at CalArts. She was invited to take picture shots of Burton’s 1989 superhero movie, Batman. It did not take long for these wonderfully talented people to fall for each other. They soon began dating and soon said their vows on the 24th of February, 1989. Unfortunately, things were not meant to last for this pair. They made a decision to split up and went their own ways in 1991.
As per reports, Gieseke decided to end things with Burton when she found that he was having an affair with an ex-stripper, Lisa Marie. The two did not have any children and have moved on from their brief romantic spell. As of today, Lena is focusing on her career and stays away from any media rumors and controversies.
