The cosmetic surgeon was born on 29 June 1966 in Moscow, Russia. The Russian citizen later moved to the United States with his family. But he has not provided information on his parents or siblings. He then attended high school in Livingston, New Jersey after that he joined Louisiana State University Medical Center in 1990. From the university, he graduated as a valedictorian and performed his plastic surgery fellowship in Miami under renowned doctor Ralph Millard.
