Neomi Rao is an American jurist and legal scholar. She has been serving as a federal appellate judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, since 2019. Before that, then-president Donald Trump appointed her to serve in the Trump Administration from 2017 to 2019. There she served as Administrator of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.
Furthermore, she had worked as a reporter for the Weekly Standard during her university days. Later, she clerked for a few Judges including Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III in the late 90s and Justice Clarence Thomas in the early 20s of the US Supreme Court. Additionally, she is a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States as well as the member of the Federalist Society.

The political adviser was born on 22 March 1973 as Neomi Jehangir Rao in Detroit, Michigan, the USA. She was born as the daughter of parents Zerin and Jehangir Narioshang Rao. Her parents had immigrated from India to the US in 1972 were Parsi physicians. No information on her siblings in the media.
Regarding her education, she had attended Detroit Country Day School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where she grew up. She graduated high school in 1991 and joined Yale University to pursue study in ethics, politics, economics, & philosophy. Following that, she practiced in London with the British law firm Clifford Chance. She had become a professor of law at the George Mason University School of Law in 2006.
