The comedian was born on 8 July 1973, in Arlington Heights, Illinois, the U.S. His parents were Italian immigrants from Cefalu, Sicily to the USA at the age of 15. His father Salvatore Maniscalco worked as a hairstylist but no information on his mother Rose. Also no information on his siblings as well. He grew up in a Catholic family and also served as an altar boy at St.Cecilia Catholic church at the age of eight.
For his education, he attended Rolling Meadows High School. Later, he went on to join Northern Illinois University and got a degree from the university. After completion of his graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to make his career as a stand-up comedian.
