Brodie Van Wagenen is an American sports executive popular also as the former general manager for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball. The sports executive first started his career right after college. He worked for the Chicago Bulls to sell tickets and sponsorship deals. Additionally, Wagenen also worked at Creative Artists Agency. In his professional career, he also served as a co-head of the CAA Sports baseball division. In his college days, Wagenen was the right fielder for the Stanford Cardinal baseball team. He was actively playing in the baseball team as a freshman and sophomore in 1993 and 1994 respectively. However, after he dislocated his shoulder while swinging at a pitch. In the match, he tallied only 24 at-bats in his final two seasons at Stanford.

Wagenen was born to his parents Cher Wagenen and Jeff Van Wagenen on 9 March 1974 in Southern California. During his childhood, he spent a lot of his time with his parents in Southern California.
