The Melbourne born talent was born to parents Adriana Mitchell who was a model and later a designer, and the filmmaker Norman Mitchell. However, her parents split up when she was only 6-years-old.

In the 1970’s, Radha’s mom Adriana was on one of her fabric-buying trips in India and she had a different admiration for the country.
