John Saxon is an American actor and Martial artist. His work has been recognized internationally, especially when he shared a screen with Legendary Bruce Lee. John Saxon: Bio, Family, Education

The actor was born on 5 August 1935, in Brooklyn, New York City, the US, as Carmine Orrico. He was born as the son of Anna and dock worker, Antonio Orrico. There is no information on his siblings or his early life.

He has attended New Utrecht High School and graduated in 1953. From a young age, he has built an interest in acting. Afterward, he decided to turn his passion into a career. So, he later enrolled himself to learn acting under the popular acting coach Stella Adler.

After graduating, he signed 18 months contract with Universal and then appeared in Studio First movies. In 1954, he worked in two American movies and got uncredited. However, he got his first significant role in drama ‘Running Wild’ along with actress Mamie Van Doren. Following that, he emerged in American Technicolor crime film ‘The Unguarded Moment’ in 1956. In the same year, he appeared in a low budget teen film ‘Rock, Pretty Baby’, which helps him to establish as a teen idol. By the year 1958, he started to get 3,000 fan letters a week.

With United Artist, he played the lead role in a film about a juvenile delinquent ‘Cry Tough in 1959. Additionally, Carmine Oricco changed his name to John Saxon when he moved to California after discovered by Henry Wilson, a talent agent.

In 1962, he traveled to Italy to cast in an Italian drama ‘Agostino’.  After that, he relocated to Hollywood in 1963 and appeared in Otto Preminger’s ‘The Cardinal’. Then again returned to Europe for ‘The Cavern’ in 1964. He became part of the action movies like 1974 ‘Mitchell’, 1975 ‘The Swiss Conspiracy’, 1976 ‘Mark Strikes Again’, and 1977 ‘The Cynic, the Rat, and the Fist’.

In 1982, he appeared in the recurring role of ‘Tony Cumson’ in the series ‘Falcon Crest’, Susan Sullivan starred show.

The couple together had welcomed son Antonio Saxon who is also an actor. However, after 12 years of marriage, the couple split in 1979.

Then he remarried after eight years of his divorce to the first wife. In 1987, he married Elizabeth Saxon but their marriage life ended in 1992. Again, for the third time, he married Gloria Martel on 29 August 2008.
