Furthermore, she is also recognized as the wife of the late actor, Alan Rickman. He is best known for portraying Hans Gruber in the 1988 film Die Hard and Severus Snape in the Harry Potter franchise. The former political personality was born on 31 January 1947 as Rima Elizabeth Horton in Bayswater, London, the United Kingdom into a working-class family. She is the third of four children of the parents of Elice Irene (née Frame, 1906–1984) and Wilfred Stewart Horton (1905–2003). She has three siblings but there is no information about them. Further, she has a nationality of British and belongs to native white ethnicity.
Regarding her education, she attended the co-Ed private St. Vincent’s primary school and City of London School for Girls. After that, she joined the University of Southampton.
