Toya Washington: Bio, Family, Education

Tyo was born on 3rd of August in Minneapolis, the United States of America. She was born into an African-American family. But do not misunderstand her by the Afro-British Toya Washington whose name is similar but their appearance is very much different.

Washington has successfully kept all her information to herself. Therefore, only limited information has been circulated on the media. Further, she has attended the UW Madison University from where Tayo studied journalism and women’s studies. From a young age, she has been fascinated by the journalism filed and always dreamed to achieve a career in journalism.

Toya Washington: Profession

After chasing her dream job, she finally achieved her career in journalism. She has interned at WCCO-TV during her high school internship. After graduating, Toya began her professional career with WISC TV which is a CBS affiliate TV Station. There she began as an anchor and then a weekend news reporter. After working for six years, she left to join the WISN-TV in December 2002.

Further, Washington started to anchor 5 p.m. newscast along with Kathy Mykleby. However, she rosed to fame through anchoring 6 p.m newscast and reporter for the 12 News This Morning as well. She has covered various reports including the 2004 presidential campaign and interviews many national figures like Tommy Thompson.

Toya Washington: Personal Life

As being the center of the media, Toya has successfully kept her personal life a private. Also, has maintained the balance between her personal and professional life. However, the journalist has not revealed many things by herself in the media. But in finding the process, we do know that the reporter has married a guy named Brian. Together, the couple has welcomed their two beautiful daughters. They are Alivia and Maya.
