J D Gibbs was an American professional stock car racing driver. He is the son of a former professional football coach who owns the professional stock racing organization called Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR). Prior to his death, he had also served as the president of his father’s racing team starting in 1998.
However, in 2007, he rejoined his father after retiring and returned to the Redskins. Further, he had also played college football at the College of William & Mary and led his team to won ten games in his senior season. Sadly, he left the world on 11 January 2019 after battling a degenerative neurological disease that diagnosed in 2015.

He was born 21 February 1969 as Jason Dean Gibbs in Los Angeles, California, the United States of America. He is the son of a former professional football coach and auto racing team owner, Joe Jackson Gibbs, and his mother, the former Patricia Escobar. Jason has a brother named Coy Randall Gibbs, a former NASCAR driver, an assistant coach with the Washington Redskins. Before settling in Washington, D.C., his parents have moved to different places during his childhood days.
Regarding his education, he attended Oakton High School and then the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. During his college days, he had been in the college football team playing as a defensive back and quarterback. Further, he had helped his school team to led two Division I Football Championship Subdivision and the team won ten games in his senior season.
His racing career began after he joined his father’s team Joe Gibbs Racing in July 1991. Initially, he was a tire changer of the team, and later in the mid-1990s, he raced in the NASCAR Camping World East Series. He then became the president of his father’s racing team in 1998 and served for six years. After that, he returned to the Redskins after a 12-year hiatus.

In 2015, he reported battling with conditions that were related to brain function, a degenerative neurological disease. After that, his media and public appearances both became less, and began to isolate himself in the house as his symptoms began to act more. Unfortunately, he passed away from the disease on 11 January 2019 at his home by the side of his wife and children.
