Selena Forrest is a 19-year-old model who became a runaway favorite in both the “Proenza Schouler” Spring/Summer and “DKNY” Fall/Winer 2016 shows. The 19 year-year-old sensations Forrest has also landed herself on the cover of famous publications like Vogue Japan, New York Times Style Magazine and i-D magazine.

Selena Forrest: Early Life, Education, and Career
Selena Forrest was born on April 29, 1999, in Louisiana. She though originally from Louisiana relocated to California with her family because of the Hurricane “Katrina”. Selena has first scouted on her way to Huntington Beach and the story behind it is quite famous.
The modeling agency L.A. Models informed Selena, who was a girl with braces that she had to remove them. She contacted her orthodontist for a cost estimate to prematurely remove the braces. She later found out that it would take her $1100 to take it off plus $300 for a retainer. And then she decided to become her own dentist removing the braces herself. The story was made famous and helped grow Selena’s popularity.

Forrest opened in Schouler’s Spring 2016 show last September and since then she has already walked in 28 shows. At just 19, she also stars in DKNY’s latest campaign alongside model Stella Lucia.
Selena is known for her unconventional walking style which essentially developed out of her discomfort with heels. The walk was kind of boyish and her clients seemed to like it.
